Hotel Gotham Newcastle provides an impressive experience, particularly for those interested in its history as a former fire station, with subtle thematic nods throughout the decor. The rooms are generally spacious and luxurious, featuring amenities like Roberts radios and well-stocked minibars, and the bathrooms offer good lighting and ample space. The hotel's central location is ideal for exploring the city, though some guests have mentioned initial difficulties navigating the corridors due to the dark lighting. Guests have enjoyed the impressive entrance courtyard, the Fire restaurant and the Brass Bar.

the hotel has a restrictive drop off. i had to wait 15 minutes on checkout. i then walked out to the main street with luggage. this doesn't work when more than one or two cars are checking in.

A Decent Stay.

pleasant staffcute stafflarge roominaccurate menuclosed restaurantbroken coffee machine
The staff members I encountered were pleasant. They were also cute. My Club Double Room was larger than most I have stayed in. Breakfast included a full English.
The menu was accessible before arrival, but it was inaccurate. The restaurant was closed, though the website stated otherwise. The coffee machine was broken at first, then fixed!
